Allie

Allie is a beautiful 10-year-old girl who has a sweet, tender disposition and is very affectionate. She loves to go for walks and play fetch in the backyard. She will also snuggle up next to you on the couch for a long movie. She will keep your backyard free of critters, too! She looks and acts younger than her age, so don’t let her middle-aged status scare you off. Allie can be protective of her people and her home, so she is best suited as an only dog.

Potter

Meet Potter! This handsome boy is about 9 years old and is a silly guy! He loves to carry his toys when he goes for a walk, loves to play ball, and has a great time cuddling on the couch. He knows tons of tricks and will happily do all of them for a treat. He gets along well with most other dogs and he loves his kitty friends!

As sweet as Potter is 99% of the time, he does get startled easily because his vision isn’t great. If he is startled or doesn’t see someone coming, he can be reactive. Potter would do best in a home with no small children and with a family that understands his limited vision.

Pop Tart

• Breed: Mixed Breed (Medium)
• Sex: Female
• Age: 8 years

Our best guess is that she is a red Doberman / pit bull mix, which means she is incredibly athletic, sweet and snuggly and very loyal. Pop Tart seems to be a little too interested in cats and other small critters, so would do best in a home without small furry friends. She needs an active family, one that up for daily playtime and some adventures! Pop Tart is completely house and crate trained and already knows ‘sit’ and ‘shake’. She loves to play, but also enjoys a good snuggle on the couch in the evening.

Athena

• Sex: Female
• Age: 2 years

Athena is a beautiful and glamorous cat who came to us with her three babies (Juno, Flora and Apollo). She has loves a good chin scratch and purrs so loudly and makes happy biscuits just with some sweet talk from her people. Athena can be a little reserved with new people and is just learning how to play, but she is so sweet and loving!

Athena would do best in a home with adults or older children only. She gets along with other cats and would be a good companion for a family that has another adult cat. She would also do well in a home with one of her kittens (who are now as big as she is!).

Caesar

Flora

• Breed: Domestic Shorthair
• Sex: Female
• Age: 2 years

Flora is one of Athena’s amazing kittens, born in February 2021. Flora is a very playful and loving kitten, but can be very shy with new people, so she needs a patient and calmer family. She needs a playmate, so she needs to be adopted with one of her siblings or to a home with another cat around the same age. Flora would do best with older children or adults only and would probably not do well with dogs.

Juno

Juno is one of the Athena’s amazing kittens, born in February 2021. Juno is a very playful and thoughtful kitten who loves to explore. She is very smart and affectionate, but can be a little shy with new people. She needs a playmate, so she needs to be adopted with one of her siblings or to a home with another cat around the same age. Juno would do best with older children or adults only

Linus

• Breed: Orange Tabby
• Sex: Male
• Age: 14 years

Linus is one of the most loving cats you will ever meet. He’s active and happy and enjoys a good game with a catnip mouse or kitty wand. When playtime is over, he loves nothing more than to curl up near you or in your lap and purr himself to sleep. He is a very striking dilute orange tabby and his fur is as soft as a bunny. Linus was born in 2009, so he is a senior guy.

Linus does have some health issues related to a condition called megacolon. He needs daily medication and has to be on a limited diet. A forever family will need to be willing to keep up with his medication and monitor his condition daily.

Linus gets along well with his kitty roommate, Tito, but would also do well as an only cat.

Tito

• Breed: Gray Tabby
• Sex: Male
• Age: 9 years

Tito is a fairly chill, male, gray tabby who would love to hang out on your lap and receive soft pets while you tell him what a good and handsome boy he is. Tito is made to soak up the love, and this boy would do his best in a home without dogs or young children. Tito likes things on the calmer side, and he certainly can do well with a well-mannered kitty buddy. So, if you already have a cat, it is likely that Tito may get along just fine.

Tito has special dietary needs and daily medication for a condition called stomatitis. His forever family will need to be ready to keep up with his medication and monitor his condition.

Tito gets along well with his kitty roommate, Linus, but would also do well as an only cat.

Nola

• Breed: Domestic Shorthair
• Sex: Female
• Age: 2 years

Nola is one of the sweetest cats ever! This sweet 2 year old girl was at a local shelter with her 4 tiny babies. She tested positive for FIV, but the shelter staff couldn’t bear to think about this little family not making it out alive.

​So, Nola and her 4 kittens joined the AARF adoption center! Her 4 babies have all been adopted, and now Nola is waiting for her turn. She is very sweet but needs an experienced cat owner who can be patient as she adjusts to a new home. She gets a little overwhelmed during changes. But once she is settled, she will love you forever!

Figaro

LadyBird

Meet LadyBird! This beautiful girl loves to play, snuggle and chat with her visitors! She was born in early 2022, so she is still a young girl with lots of years of love to give!

LadyBird is up to date on her vaccines and spayed, and ready for her forever home. She seems to get along well with the other cats at AARF, so would probably do well in a home with another friendly, playful cat.
