Jacksonville, Florida-based Brunet-García has named Molly Walker vice president and chief strategist for the communications firm.
In her new position, Walker will direct strategic planning, marketing, and business development. She will also oversee account management staff in Jacksonville, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
Walker graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, with a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design. With 22 years of experience in marketing and business strategy, digital design, development, and team management, Walker most recently served as a strategic consultant for Brunet-García, leading the agency through a reorganization and repositioning to better serve national accounts, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Prior to that, she served as creative director in global marketing for FIS, one of the world’s top-ranked technology providers to the banking industry, where she managed the creative services team and oversaw hundreds of design projects in seven languages. Earlier in her career, Molly launched JOE.com at the St. Joe Company, one of Florida’s largest real estate development companies, tripling traffic and leads within three months. Previous communications agency experience includes helping launch an interactive advertising division for Jacksonville-based St. John and Partners and consulting with their web incubator in New York.
“Molly has been pivotal in helping us distinguish our strategic communications firm as industry leaders in behavioral change and social marketing. Our recent client expansion into Atlanta and D.C., along with a focus on national accounts, resulted directly from careful planning put into place by Molly,” said Jorge Brunet-García, agency president. “Molly is intrinsic to our agency DNA—she has matched our commitment every step of the way and is moving toward an equity position with the firm.”
