Bringing Home the Gold
The results of the latest awards season are in, and Brunet-García emerged with an astonishing number of wins across the board.
The UK-based D&AD Awards are recognized globally as the ultimate creative accolade, entered and attended by the best from around the world. This year, two of our projects were shortlisted for a prestigious, highly coveted Wooden Pencil, with our Goddess Experience poster series earning a victory. Says EVP of Creative Eduardo Sarmiento, “Winning a Pencil in one of the most respected and admired creative shows on earth, where more than 45 countries participate, is a testament to our vision, dedication to the craft, and commitment to creative excellence.”
The AAF 4th District’s Angel Awards recognize excellence in public service advertising and this year, we really brought home the gold! Nine to be exact. Four for our work on The Power To Protect vaccine awareness campaign for the Florida Department of Health, three more for Goddess Experience, and two for the Global Issues Evening poster series for World Affairs Council Jacksonville. We also scored two silvers, one for our Ready, Set, PrEP HIV prevention brand identity and another for STAGE Fund’s Commedia Dell’Arte box set packaging. To top it all off, The Power To Protect earned Best of Show in the Health & Safety category.
For the second year running, B|G made the AdWeek list of fastest-growing agencies in the world. The list showcases the world’s top companies with exceptional growth in the last three years with B|G’s growth at nearly 240% over the last three years.
“Being named as one of Adweek’s Fastest Growing Companies in the world for the second year in a row is such an honor,” said Jorge Brunet-García, CEO/President. “This recognition is a testament to the driven, dedicated and passionate team we’ve assembled at B|G, and the trust they have instilled with new and existing clients. We continue pushing creative boundaries and that’s helped lead us to such success over the years.”
Business is Booming at B|G
Despite the uncertainty of these unprecedented times, we are proud to report that business is still booming at B|G! In fact, we’ve just closed out the federal government “procurement season” with several new contracts, plus some extensions and expansions, that will continue our known streak to impact social change around the nation.
We’ve been doing BIG things with the CDC’s Division of Overdose Prevention and now we’re dramatically expanding our work to help them address important issues surrounding the drug overdose epidemic. From communications promoting opioid prescriber guidelines for healthcare providers to training materials that educate stakeholders, digital support for mobile apps, and general communications and outreach efforts, we’re looking forward to making an even bigger impact on this incredibly important and complex issue.
Building off our success with Ready, Set, PrEP, a campaign for Ending the HIV Epidemic, we’ll be expanding our work with the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS policy. Additionally, we will continue to support the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Family Assistance Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) program, and we’ll also continue to promote the awareness of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s toll-free Poison Help line. Finally, in the private sector, we’re excited to be working with Humana on a partnership project.
